It's proposed at the contrib tree but it may eventually replace the main sendmail_mailqueue plugin. It solves three problems in sendmail_mailqueue : 1. sendmail_mailqueue gets its results from the number of files on the queues directories. This may led to wrong results on some situations. sendmail_mailq parses the results of the command mailq, which is how sendmail identifies the contents of its queues. 2. It show separate results for the MTA and MSP. 3. In huge servers it's usually better to create multiple queues (or groups) and to set different priority to them, depending on the source or destination. It is essentially identical to server. The output of nfsstat for client is somewhat different from server in the labeling of the cache entries. Adam Michel	960122b96c	Initial Commit of FreeBSD NFS Plugins ... This is an initial commit of FreeBSD NFS plugins for the Munin monitoring platform. The NFS plugins for Munin depend on the /proc filesystem in Linux for statistics which does not exist in FreeBSD by default. While one can add the linproc package to their installation to emulate this functionality, I felt it would be better to write plugins that made use of native tools. I'm leveraging the nfsstat command to create these plugins. I'm sure there is a better primary data source in FreeBSD to gather this output from but for my purposes, using nfsstat is adequate and acceptable. Unfortunately this means if the output of the nfsstat command changes due to updates, these plugins will likely report inaccurate data. These are the days of our lives, as they say. Someone with appropriate levels of FreeBSD knowledge can probably improve these plugins trivially. I'm specifically targeting FreeNAS/NAS4Free, but the code should work on any FreeBSD system with minimal package additions. Installing munin on FreeNAS is not supported in general, but it's easy enough to do and I wanted it monitored, ergo we are here.	2013-07-01 16:11:50 -07:00

This allows much faster and reliable monitoring, especially on dme1737-based systems where the driver is prone to failures. Compared to the sensors_ plugin, this does not let you change the warning/critical levels from the node configuration, nor to ignore any particular sensor, as it provides whatever the kernel is providing. If there are more than one postfix running, with separate config file, and still use the same main log file, this scripts can create stats split per running postfix instance. Those scripts have not been tested on the new debian multiple postfix infrastructure, only on real separate running postfix services. Except postfix_mailvolume_multi, each plugin needs to be configured per running postfix. For mailqueue* it is the config folder name, for mailstats it is the syslog_name in the config file. mailvolume is also based on the syslog_name, but can do auto config if nothing has been set.	2012-03-14 12:43:50 +09:00
